Today the Rams play their first home game at the Los Angeles Coliseum since 1979. The Rams moved to nearby Anaheim in 1980 and then to St. Louis in 1995.

The franchise’s lone Super Bowl win came in St. Louis. Behind quarterback Kurt Warner the Rams raced to a 13-3 record, earned the NFC’s top seed and then won a heart-stopping Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta 23-16 over Tennessee.

Head coach Dick Vermeil retired after the win and offensive coordinator Mike Martz took over. The Rams made the playoffs as a wild card in 2000 and then returned to the Super Bowl in 2001, falling to heavy underdog New England in Super Bowl XXXVI.
