In the franchise’s 20th season (and 14th in Memphis) the 2014-15 Grizzlies won 55 games, posting the second-best record in club history.

Memphis finished second in the Southwest Division and defeated Portland in five games in the first round of the playoffs. The Grizzlies then jumped out to a 2-1 lead on top-seeded Golden State before eventually falling in six games. The Warriors would go on the win the NBA title.

The Grizzlies once again relied on their stingy defense, surrendering just 95 points per game, good for second in the league. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph led five Memphis players who averaged double figures in points.
